A Time of Deep Listening Together
Woven through the last 27 years of Bread of Life is the sense that the human family is being confronted with the need to listen more deeply than we have in many generations to how the Spirit is challenging and inviting us today. It's time to "let go and let come" and that means an open-handed, open-hearted, open-minded deep listening using a variety of prayer modes together.
Members of the Community of Practice are initiating A TIME OF DEEP LISTENING TOGETHER as a public offering for all who are drawn. We'll use the frame of Christian Advent and Jewish Hannukah, both of which occur in the darkest time of the year when people suffering great trauma are powerfully met by something far beyond what human ingenuity can devise. That's our Hope.
We imagine coming to God with an eye toward the invitations and temptations that are twin arrivals in times of disturbance. Our time will include open dialogue about what is emerging from our prayerful listening, and we will gather what arises from the Sacramento group and groups in other geographies to share.
Saturday December 7 from 1-4 (Pacific) in Sacramento at a site TBD.
