Who We Are

The Bread of Life Center for Spiritual Formation has grown rapidly since its inception in 1997*. We incorporated as a separate non-profit (status pending) in March, 2006 and have recently consolidated our Davis-based programs and our Spirit in the Arts Center into one site in North Sacramento.

Bread of Life offerings and services include both individual and group spiritual direction; an open studio space with opportunities to explore the connection between spirituality and creativity; seeding & mentoring with organizations seeking to engage their mission in a way that honors the Spirit; and a variety of retreats, workshops, and special events. Individuals coming to Bread of Life do not need to profess a particular set of beliefs or subscribe to any faith tradition.    All are welcome.

* We were founded originally out of Davis Community Church, a PC(USA) congregation.   North Sacramento United Methodist Church has graciously made space available for the integrated program while we continue to look for our long-term home. With heartfelt gratitude to both DCC and NSUMC for their support of this vision and work.
