“...designed to immerse participants in an experience of the four spiritual movements which comprise ’seasons’ of spiritual unfolding” Read an interview about Quadratos with Alexander Shaia in We are excited by our partnership with Dr. Alexander Shaia for exploration of his important new work Quadratos: Beyond the Biography of Jesus in explicit settings in the ecumenical church. The framework of the spiritual movements implicit within the original reading sequence of the Gospels offers a powerful way of discerning and tending the Spirit’s movements within congregations as well as across denominational bodies. From July 2009 through July 2010, Dr. Alexander Shaia, assisted by Rev. Marjorie Hoyer Smith, Sandra Lommasson and Jean Holsten, will work intensively with a small group of persons in spiritual leadership through a series of seven retreats. Both content and process are designed to immerse participants in an experience of the four spiritual movements which comprise ‘seasons’ of spiritual unfolding. Our time together will integrate learning the framework with practical application in the particular setting of each participant. The design will give participants a working familiarity with the four-fold cycle, along with spiritual practices which enable each movement to take root and open to the next for personal and corporate transformation of heart.
