Quadratos is Going Mainstream!

We are very excited that the work of Alexander Shaia we know as 'Quadratos' is going mainstream. His book is a major release of HarperCollins for 2010. Titled The Hidden Power of the Gospels: Four Questions, Four Paths, One Journey, it comes out 2/2/10. We will continue to work with Dr. Shaia as we have for the last five years exploring and developing what we believe is a remarkable gift for our time "Breathtakingly liberating." Quadratos is a new name for the ancient four-fold journey of spirit and transformation recognized by every major religious faith, and found at the heart of Christianity. The four progressive paths of Quadratos correspond to the four gospels, as the four great cyclical questions of life.

Bread of Life hosts a monthly depth practice group for those interested in the 'Quadratos" approach to communal and personal spiritual journey. Each month we look at the lectionary Gospel texts of the current cycle. Designed for those in spiritual leadership, we seek to engage the Gospels as spiritual practice and to encourage others to do so. We meet one Monday a month from 12-4. Group size is intentionally limited. Interested parties are invited to apply by contacting Sandra at Bread of Life. Cost: Commitment to the group and to the journey.

July 25-30, 2010 - Triduum Study Week at La Casa de Maria, Santa Barbara, CA. Team: Alexander, Veronica Cukrow (musician) and two presiders to be named. It is not enough to re-vitalize the gospels without also understanding how our expression of the core Christian Feasts must also go beyond Biography to Spiritual Practice. We begin this work by re-imaging the great feast of Easter - its theology, rituals and spiritual practice.
