Our new blog focuses on Practices for Life. The first entry: The Thin Places "Where the door between the world/ And the next is cracked open for a moment/
And the light is not all on the other side." (Sharlande Sledge).
Take a look and respond with your own thin place. We need practice to see them! Let's encourage one another with bits of wisdom from exper-iences of waking up to this holy, human journey with others.
Beyond Business as Usual
are very excited with the way Dialogue practice is being invited into a
range of organizations wanting to find creative common ground in
pursuit of their mission.
New in the last two months:
- An expanded contract with the CA State Department of Housing and Community Development
- Workshops offered through Sacramento Employment & Training Agency (SETA)
- A Sacramento area congregation wanting to deepen in its staff life in a time of transition
A 2 year practicum participant writes:
If only our world could be in as much harmony, peace, and unity
as my Dynamic Dialogue practicum group: one Episcopalian spiritual director,
one Jewish spiritual director, one Dominican nun, one UC Davis veterinary
professor, one Muslim woman who is chairperson of the SALAM Islamic Center in
Sacramento, one Lutheran minister, and me a United Methodist spiritual
director. I absolutely love our diversity and the deep spiritual connections
among us all!
