“I thought the earth remembered me, she took me back so tenderly, arranging
her dark skirts, her pockets full of lichens and seeds… All night I heard the
small kingdoms breathing around me, the insects, and the birds who do their
work in the darkness…..By morning I had vanished at least a dozen times into
something better.”
- Sleeping in the Forest by Mary Oliver

Encouraging our children to draw closer to God through Spiritual Direction
How as adults, parents and teachers we can foster spiritual experiences in our
children. We will learn listening techniques and facilitate sharing the divine with open
hearts and minds. Children will learn how to recognize and value their experiences
with the divine and how important God is in their lives.
Spiritual Gardening
We will take our spiritual lives through the gardening process using scripture and
Franciscan spirituality. On our journey with Francis through the garden, we will delight
in the sensory connection with nature and enjoy the de-stressing of our busy lives.
