Giving Back to the Community Award

In our 20th anniversary year, we are delighted to be recognized by the Interfaith Council of Greater Sacramento through the Giving Back to the Community Award presented at their annual Power of One dinner. The award honors leaders who are making the community a diverse and vibrant place to live. Bread of Life upholds the values celebrated by the award and we are grateful to be noticed.

Sandra Lommasson, Executive Director, accepted the award and shared, “The rich diversity of those gathered in this room is no accident. All here have spent a lifetime preparing for this moment of reaching across what too often separates or divides us. We at Bread of Life see this essential work of our time as “the sound of yeast rising.” It’s so quiet you might miss it, but it’s powerful and irrepressible and real. It’s a work of the “we” that needs all of us. We are honored to stand with you at this crucial moment of our shared history.”
